HYGIENIST SERVICES

Our dental hygienist is specially trained to work as part of our team to give the best care to our patients.  The hygienist plays an important part in dental health care and is primarily concerned with preventative treatment including gum disease.  

What to expect from a visit to the hygienist:

The hygienist's main job is to help prevent and treat gum disease.  During your visit the hygienist will professionally clean your teeth by removing plaque (the sticky coating that forms constantly on your teeth) and tartar (the hard deposits that build up on teeth).

We believe that oral health education is extremely important and they hygienist will also ensure that you know and understand the best way to keep your teeth and gums in the best of oral health.  She will provide you with a tailored approach to caring for your teeth at home based on your individual oral hygiene needs. 

We recommend a visit to the hygienist every six months in combination with a routine examination by the dentist.  The dentists and hygienist work closely together to help you take all the steps necessary to protect the health and beauty of your smile for a lifetime.
